PHOTO-IMAGES OF FORM AND TEXTURE

During my equestrian travels, the landscape that I ride through (and visits to nearby urban centres), provides access to images that are special, that draw the eye. They often deal with the passage of time, that "passage from then, until now". There is a story imbedded in these images. It is this hidden story that captures my attention, and my imagination. The images will sometimes directly inspire my work - at the very least, they become part of my visual language.

The images that appear on this page, were taken over the last few years on riding trips to Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Botswana, South Africa, Spain, France, Italy and Scotland and rambles where I live on Saltspring Island. Additional images and text will be added to this section from time to time.
