Beached Log - Burnett Beach, North-West BC Coast

This is one of the images I have taken over the past few years that I value the most. The journey of the log to this resting point is not possible to imagine. Where did the journey start? Where will the log go from here and when? This image best illustrates the mystery that captures my attention. That "passage of time between then and now". The composition is minimal and visually arresting. This image captures the essence of Kipling's words "And what is Art whereto we press Through paint and prose and rhyme When nature in her nakedness Defeats us every time?"
